Just a little while longer.....(part 17)

(Author's note: Hey frens!! 2 posts in one day, I'm doing good. xD Alright, so this one will be from Brendon's POV and it is set on Sunday, the same day as my last post. So we are reliving the day from Brendon's POV, I just wanted you to understand that. Okay, so everyone was sobbing before, so I'll try to keep this one lighter...[notice I said try *laughs evilly*]

Sunday

      Brendon rolled over and checked his clock, it was 7:28am. He smiled, that was exactly when he

wanted to wake up.

      Brendon didn't really like alarms but he had set one for 7:30am just in case. He grabbed his

phone and turned off the alarm as fast as possible, he didn't need to wake his parents. Directly

afterward he checked his messages and sure enough, Gladys had texted him.

Gladys: Hey, you wanna hang out again today?

It had been 2 minutes ago, Brendon grinned. She was so cute. He really wanted to help her, it broke

his heart that she was so depressed and suicidal.

Brendon: Sure! When you wanna meet up?

Brendon put down his phone and got ready for the day. About 10 minutes later, he checked his phone.

Gladys: Whenever you can come over.

Brendon: Okay, I'll be over in 20

Brendon sighed, he'd have to wait 20 minutes, but he didn't wanna seem too eager. He walked down

the hallway and into the kitchen. Brendon grabbed an apple from the bowl on the counter and walked

outside. It was a beautiful morning. Perhaps he would jog to her house.

       Within no time, Brendon arrived at Gladys' house and hand-in-hand they set off to 'explore the

world'. They were having a good time, at the local Starbucks, when they ran into Tyler and

Josh. Gladys' face brightened considerably and Brendon could feel himself get jealous.

"Hey, guys!" Gladys said cheerfully.

Josh smiled, with his hand on Tyler's shoulder. "Hey! Who's this?" He said looking at Brendon.

Gladys looked at Brendon and smiled at him, eyes bright. "This is Brendon."

So she didn't like them like that, that was good. Brendon grinned, "Hi."

Tyler gave him a small smile, "Nice to meet you, Brendon."

"Yeah. So, how'd you two meet?" Josh asked, almost protectively.

Gladys chuckled nervously. "Well-" she looked to Brendon for help.

Brendon shrugged. "I had a party at my house and she was there, we became friends."

Josh nodded, "Well, Gladys is amazing, I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to her."

Brendon could hear the threat in Josh's tone. "Well, you have nothing to worry about with me."

Josh shrugged. "We'll see."

Tyler looked at Josh and scoffed. "What he means is, we'll see that you are."

Gladys rolled her eyes. "Smooth, Ty. We all know what he meant, it's okay, your like my brothers."

She gave them both a quick side hug and Josh smirked. "Well, someone's gotta be protective."

Brendon laughed. "Glad to see you're a good friend. They're hard to find, right Gladys?"

Gladys nodded a bit somber. Brendon noticed Tyler look at Josh with a smile. He could tell they

were close.

"Well, we were gonna go get ice cream, wanna hang?" Brendon asked.

Josh looked at Tyler.

Tyler shrugged. "Sure."

Brendon grinned, "Good, we can all get to know each other better."

Josh nodded. "Sounds good to me."

Gladys and Tyler looked at each other and shook their heads, they knew where this was going.

    Overall, they had a good dessert. Brendon earned Josh's approval, and they all became friends.

Brendon watched Gladys laugh and joke and smile and he was happy he could help her.

Hopefully one day, she would always be happy and Brendon wanted to be there when she was.
