Spooky or Jim?

Josh willed his legs to move faster, trying to keep up with Debby.

"Debby, wait up!" he called to her as she basically ran into a store. Not just any store, a pet store.

Josh looked at the sign that would later change his life. PET STORE. He walked into the store, the overwhelming smell of puppies and cats filling the air. He spotted Debby and sighed. She was over by the dogs. Josh walked over to her, placing his hand on the small of her back.

"Debby, what are you doing?" he asked cautiously.

Debby turned to him, eyes glossy. "Look at the puppy, Josh," she said with a pouty face.

Josh looked at the cute little chocolate lab.

"Yeah, he's cute." he said trying to keep her from getting excited. This was the third time this month she had brought him to a pet store.

Debby looked at him and sighed. "No?"

Josh shook his head, "I can't get a dog, Deb, I just can't."

"Why not?"

"I-" Josh realized he didn't have a legit reason. Why didn't he want a puppy?

Debby smirked. "Come on, I know you want one."

Josh shook his head, a small smile forming on his lips. "Okay."

Debby almost shrieked and pulled him in for a kiss. Breaking apart she almost squealed with joy.

"I almost forgot! My friend has a golden retriever who just had puppies!!!" Debby giggled.

Josh looked at her and smiled. She had the cutest giggle. He agreed to meet with her friend, and maybe, just maybe, get a puppy.

---------------------------------------------------------------

A few days later, Debby and Josh walked up to the nice home of Debby's friend, Alice.

Alice opened the door before they knocked and said, "Hey Debby! Is this Josh?" she said astonished.

Debby smiled and nodded.

"Damn, he's hot," she quickly covered her mouth as she realized Josh was standing right there.

Debby just laughed, "I know right?"

Blushing, Josh managed to give her a small smile, before walking into the house. About seven puppies welcomed them, with yips and yaps and whines. Josh bent down and reached for the one nearest him. The cute little puppy licked his face and whined happily.

"Find one you like?" Debby asked, smiling.

Josh nodded, then looking at Alice, said, "I'll take this one."

Alice nodded a little too vigorously. "Okay. Sure."

Josh and Debby shared a look while Alice walked towards the kitchen. Debby almost laughed at Josh's face. He was so cute when he was embarrassed.

Alice turned and looked at them, "So, here's his papers," she said handing them a little folder, "and that should be it."

"Okay, great. Thanks again, Alice."

"Sure thing Debby. You can come over with Josh anytime" Alice replied, staring only at Josh.

Josh shifted his feet. "Alright, well we better get going, we have that-" he paused searching for an excuse.

"-band meeting with Tyler." Debby finished for him.

Josh silently thanked her with his eyes, and shook Alice's hand.

"Bye now."

They left as hurriedly as was polite. In the car both of them laughed so hard.

"That was so awkward. How are you friends with her?"

Debby laughed, "I don't remember."

Josh sighed, "Well, at least now we have a puppy."

Debby's eyes widened, "Oh My God. You have a Puppy. What are you gonna name it?"

Josh shrugged, "Maybe Spooky?"

Debby shook her head, "No, how about Jim?"

Josh's eyes brightened. "Jim? That's a great name."

Debby stroked the puppy's small head, "Jim." she smiled. "It's perfect."

Josh looked at the puppy adoringly, "Yes, it is."

Debby smirked, "I wonder what Tyler will think?"

Josh scoffed. "He'll probably be jealous, " he joked.

Debby tilted her head knowingly. "Ehh, I don't know. That could very well be true."

Josh looked at her is disbelief, "Do you really think so?"

Debby nodded.

Josh blushed. "Wow, I guess the bromance is real," he said teasingly.

"Josh!"

"I'm just kidding..." Josh smirked. But would Tyler get jealous?

[lol to all the joshler shippers, that was for you ;)]

Wondering.....what would it look like from the shop-owner's perspective? Josh and Debby come in to look at pets...is the pet store owner a fan? Do the workers even know who they are?

I know if that happened, I might die....
